2018 World Top 500 IoT Enterprises Released - CASIC Ranks 20th among Global Enterprises and 6th among Chinese Enterprises

On October 20-21, 2018, the 2018 World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. The 2018 World Internet of Things Ranking List (WIOTRL) Top 500 was released at the convention. The top 500 enterprises in the ranking list were selected by the sponsor from more than 1,200 outstanding enterprises selected from thousands of enterprises around the world.

Among the 2018 World Internet of Things Ranking List (WIOTRL) Top 500: CASIC was ranked 20th among global enterprises and 6th among Chinese enterprises. CASICloud of CASIC was ranked 68th among global enterprises and 18th among Chinese enterprises.

Huawei, Qualcomm, Bosch, Google, Cisco, China Unicom, Vodafone, IBM, NXP and China Telecom were ranked among the top ten.

Huawei once again topped the list, and Qualcomm was ranked 2nd. Bosch has witnessed a rapid increase and was ranked 3rd. However, it was in the 30th place in 2017. Cisco was only ranked 5th in 2018 while it was in the 3rd place in 2017.

Among them, the world top 100 IoT enterprises were from 15 countries. China was ranked 1st with 29 enterprises in the ranking list, the United States was ranked 2nd with 26 enterprises in the ranking list, and Germany was ranked 3rd with 11 enterprises in the ranking list. For China, the United States and Germany, there were totally 66 enterprises in the ranking list, including 55 enterprises from China and the United States.

France was ranked 4th with 6 enterprises in the ranking list. Russia, Japan and the United Kingdom have 5 enterprises in the ranking list respectively. The Netherlands has 3 enterprises in the ranking list; Switzerland and Italy have 2 enterprises in the ranking list respectively; the UAE, Finland, Canada, Sweden and Israel have 1 enterprise in the ranking list respectively.

The 2018 World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC) was held on October 20 at the China National Convention Center. At the convention, the first World Internet of Things White Paper was issued in English and Chinese. The 2018 World Internet of Things Ranking List (WIOTRL) Top 500 was released. The convention reached its climax with the establishment of the Committee of the World IoT Standard Working Organization and the Satellite IoT Industry Alliance.
