During the CIIE, CASIC actively organized foreign exhibitors to participate in the exhibition, business matchmaking and contract signing, as well as carried out extensive economic and trade exchanges with international partners to seek cooperation, share development achievements and make joint efforts to create a better future.
On the morning of November 6, the Central Enterprise International Cooperation Forum was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The heads of relevant enterprises at home and abroad, and representatives present at the conference were gathered together to provide advice and suggestions for the international cooperation and development of central enterprises in the new era. Xiao Yaqing, the Director of SASAC, stated in his speech that we sincerely welcome enterprises at home and abroad to participate in the reform of central enterprises to seek the strategic cooperation in industrial transformation and upgrading via joint ventures, so as to share the achievements of the reform of central enterprises. Chen Guoying, a member of Party Committee and the Deputy General Manager of CASIC, attended the forum.
On the noon of the same day, CASIC held a collective signing ceremony for foreign trade cooperation. During the CIIE, the relevant organizations of CASIC and the international partners will complete the signing of contracts for 19 cooperation projects.
In a conversation with foreign guests, Chen Guoying said that, over the past 40 years since the reform and opening-up, China has always welcomed foreign cooperation. With the development of globalization and the booming of the Internet, CASIC is committed to creating a new business mode featuring with “enterprises being organized while resources being released”, and hopes that more and more enterprises at abroad can join us.
Mix Richard Allen, the Global Sales Director of Filtration Systems Inc, a partner of one of CASIC’s subsidiaries, stated that China's market prospects are very broad, and the CIIE has created a wide range of cooperation platforms for enterprises at abroad. FSI attaches great importance to the CIIE and is also looking forward to the cooperation with CASIC in fields such as technologies, products and markets.
Mix Richard Allen stated that “we are very grateful to CASIC for its invitation, and hope to gain an in-depth understanding of China's market demands through the CIIE to facilitate us to continuously improve our products and services.”
After the signing ceremony, Chen Guoying and his entourage visited the intelligent and high-end equipment exhibition area of the CIIE, with an area of 60,000 m2. The main exhibitors were more than 60 leading enterprises from Europe, America and Japan in relevant sub-sectors such as artificial intelligence, industrial automation and robots, digital factories, Internet of Things, material processing and molding equipment, as well as information and communication technology equipment. Many exhibits were released for the first time on a global scale.
Representatives of CASIC successively visited the exhibition areas of enterprises at abroad such as ABB, GE, Siemens, Microsoft and SAP, detailedly understood the development achievements of excellent enterprises at abroad in fields such as advanced equipment, intelligent manufacturing, smart enterprises and digital factories, and actively exchanged ideas to seek opportunities for foreign cooperation.
In recent years, CASIC has followed the development trend of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, has carried out in-depth exploration and practice in the development of new industries and new business modes such as digital aerospace industry system, industrial Internet and information security, and has created the first industrial Internet platform (CASICloud) in the world and China.
Chai Xudong, the General Manager of CASICloud, told reporters during the visit that digitalization is the common goal pursued by CASIC and enterprises at abroad. We shall further provide solutions based on the industry and the application scenarios. In addition, CASICloud actively carried out the matchmaking activities with enterprises at abroad during the CIIE to promote the complementary advantages.
“For example, ABB has developed relatively proven solutions and application modes in the power sector, and those can be well integrated with CASIC's industrial Internet platform.” Chai Xudong said that "based on the platform and solutions of both parties, we can provide better serves for Chinese and international enterprises.”
A number of exhibition stands were set up by 82 countries and 3 international organizations in the country pavilion area of the CIIE. All exhibitors showed their strength, and exhibited the major products in their respective trade and investment fields and the special products of their own countries.
The representatives of CASIC and their entourages visited the exhibition stand of Belarus for an in-depth exchange. Witnessed by President Xi Jinping and Lukashenka, the President of Republic of Belarus, Gao Hongwei, the Chairman of CASIC, and Vovk, the then Minister of Ministry of Industry of Belarus, signed the long term cooperation memorandum in the Great Hall of the People in 2016, which marks a brand new page for the practical cooperation in heavy equipment and industrial Internet between CASIC and the Ministry of Industry of Belarus.
In front of the electronic screen of the exhibition stand, Utiupin, the Minister of Ministry of Industry of Belarus, introduced the advanced manufacturing products of Belarus one by one to the representatives of CASIC. The production lines of those products will be established in the China-Belarus Industrial Park. Utiupin said that the China-Belarus Industrial Park is a "pearl" of the Silk Road Economic Belt. Belarus is looking forward to the development prospects of the industrial park. He hoped that the cooperation with CASIC will continue to deepen and reach a new stage to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
On the afternoon of November 6, the 2018 International Cooperation Forum on Intelligent Science, Technology and Industry was held. Xie Lianggui, General Manager Assistant of CASIC, attended the Kunshan Sub-forum and delivered a keynote speech titled Industrial Internet Promoting the Development of Intelligent Industry - the Construction and Practice of Industrial Internet Platform INDICS+CMSS.
In response to the needs of international cooperation, CASICloud has released worldwide demands of USD 4.6 billion, with a trading volume of USD 500 million and international registered users of 15,000. At the same time, CASICloud has been deployed in a lot of countries, such as Germany, and CASICloud in seven language versions such as English, German, Russian and French has been launched. Xie Lianggui said that "we invite more international enterprises to join the construction of the ecosystem for cloud manufacturing industry clusters and jointly create a new era of global manufacturing.”
During the CIIE, a series of cooperation and exchange measures of CASIC are only the epitomes of us in promoting the international economy and trade development. In the future, CASIC will show the world the confidence and corporate responsibility of China featuring with open market and shared future.
