On March 25, Gao Hongwei, President of CASIC, Liu Shiquan, General Manager of CASIC and Wei Yiyin, Deputy General Manager of CASIC, met with members of the German Federal Parliament, Thomas Jarzombek, aerospace policy coordinator of the German federal government and representatives of aerospace enterprises of Germany. Both parties exchanged thoughts and ideas in a discussion on cooperation in the aerospace field, further expanding the cooperation between affiliates of CASIC and the German enterprises. Relevant departments of the headquarters and main leaders of second-level organizations participated in the discussion.
Gao Hongwei extended a warm welcome to Thomas Jarzombek and other members for their visit. He pointed out that CASIC will, by upholding the principle of “harmless” cooperation, carry out market, industry and capital cooperation with German enterprises, fully respect the intellectual property rights of German enterprises and continue to make use of its technological advantages in the aerospace field to open up new cooperation areas.
Thomas Jarzombek stated that China has made remarkable achievements over the 40 years of reform and opening up, as has CASIC. Both parties share great prospects for cooperation in the aerospace field. He hoped that they will have more opportunities to cooperate with CASIC in the near future. During the meeting, dozens of entrepreneurs as representative from both China and Germany discussed their cooperation, marking a good beginning of a new cooperation stage of the Chinese and German sides.
