Wei Yiyin, a member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC, Chen Xiexin, Deputy Mayor of Wuhan City, Yang Feng, Deputy Director of the Office of Military-Civilian Integration Development Committee of Hubei Province, Zhao Lihong, Secretary of the Xinzhou District of Wuhan City, leaders of CSSG and leaders of relevant municipal and provincial departments, Wuhan University, China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd. and relevant cooperators participated in the activities that day.
As pointed out by Wei Yiyin in his speech, CASIC has cooperated with the local government in various aspects. In particular, the new achievements made at the Wuhan National Space Industry Base are the new contributions made by people in the aerospace industry in the new era. At present, all-round cooperation in new technologies, industries and capital in the development of global aerospace technologies will definitely take the aerospace industry to a new stage of development. In the future, CASIC will, by exploiting resources in various aspects, especially intelligence resources, capital resources and abundant social resources of the local government, make greater contribution to the economic development and national defense construction of China.
According to Wei Yiyin, CASIC has been developing commercial aerospace industry rigorously in recent years, with CSSG as the base. With joint efforts from the Second Research Institute, the Third Research Institute, Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd. and so on and by developing aerospace technologies together with the local government, important staged achievements have been made at the Wuhan National Space Industry Base. Commercial aerospace industry plays an important role in leading new development of aerospace cause in the new era. Therefore, CASIC has made important strategic planning centering on commercial aerospace which will become the new driver for growth of future aerospace development. In the near future, CASIC will cooperate closely with Wuhan government to take commercial aerospace development to a new level with every effort, to better serve local economic construction and social development and to strive constantly for the aerospace cause of China.
On the site of the activities, Zhao Lihong, Yang Feng and Chen Xiexin respectively delivered a speech to extend congratulations on the achievements made by the Wuhan National Space Industry Base and to express the vision of building a good ecosystem for commercial aerospace development under the guidance of five commercial aerospace projects of CASIC to further raise the strategic status of Wuhan in the commercial aerospace industry layout of China.
During the activities, CASIC Rocket Technology Company signed a contract with the Beijing Future Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. for Kuaizhou rocket launch services. It is estimated that CentiSpace-1 S3 and S4 experiment satellites will be launched by KZ-1A in the first half of 2020. CASIC Rocket Technology Company and the Wuhan Science and Technology Bureau signed an agreement named “Kuaizhou · Chutian” and CASIC Xingyun Company signed an agreement with Wuhan Economic and Information Commission for launching Xingyun-2 satellite to jointly plan and implement brand promotion and raise the profile and influence of Wuhan City in China and around the world. As an enterprise stationed at the Wuhan National Space Industry Base, CASIC Xingyun Company will actively advance construction of the Satellite Surveying and Operation Control Center. Another five enterprises including JiuZhou YunJian Space (Beijing), Chengdu Xinglian Xintong and Beijing Space Trek have signed with the China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd. to station at the Wuhan National Space Industry Base, injecting new vitality in the aerospace development of Wuhan City.
During the period for keynote speeches, guests and representatives of the Office of Military-Civilian Integration Development Committee of Hubei Province, CASIC Space Engineering Development Co., Ltd., CASIC Xingyun Company, China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd., Wuhan University and Aerospace Science and Industry Wuhan Magnetoelectric Co., Ltd. delivered keynote speeches respectively on the current situation and development of aerospace industry in Hubei Province.
To embrace the arrival of the Space Day of China, the satellite industrial park of CASIC Space Engineering Development Co., Ltd., the Satellite Surveying and Operation Control Center of CASIC Xingyun Company, and the electromagnetic protection material project of Aerospace Science and Industry Wuhan Magnetoelectric Co., Ltd., as well as projects of Hotec New Material Technology Company and Geospatial Smart were launched at the same time at the Wuhan National Space Industry Base in Xinzhou District of Wuhan City.
Last December, the satellite “Hongyun · Wuhan” developed by CASIC Space Engineering Development Co., Ltd. was launched. In the future, research and development as well as manufacturing of satellites of the “Hongyun Project” will be finished in the Satellite Industrial Park of the Wuhan National Space Industry Base. It is reported that “Hongyun Project” as one of the five commercial aerospace projects of CASIC is dedicated to establishing a spaceborne broadband global mobile Internet. By then, people, whether in the desert or by the sea, will be able to get access to the Internet through satellites anytime.
Meanwhile, satellites 01 and 02 of Xingyun II under the space-based IoT, i.e. “Xingyun Project” created by CASIC Xingyun Company will be launched within this year to realize industrial pilot test and application test; it is planned to accomplish research and development of 12 satellites by 2020 to realize small-scale networking and extended application; the ultimate goal is to finish research and development as well as networking of 80 satellites to form the first low-orbit narrow-band communication satellite constellation of China and create a space-based IoT that covers the whole world.
