City of Orange Isle    Hometown of Chairman Mao On April 23, the activity of “Central Media Outlets in CASIC Hunan Aerospace” among a series of activities for celebrating the fourth Space Day of China was successfully held in Chang City, Hunan Province. Led by leaders of the China National Space Administration, journalists and reporters from more than 20 central media outlets including the Xinhua News, Liberation Army Daily, Guangming Daily and Economic Daily visited exhibition hall of the Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute affiliated to CASIC Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd., viewed from afar the airship hangar of the Institute and experienced at close range the high-tech aerospace achievements.

“Small mobile laboratory” of great use

The press corps first visited the exhibition hall of the Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute affiliated to CASIC Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd. and experienced at close range series products of CASIC Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd. in two major fields including aerospace equipment and new materials, and environmental protection systems.

In the exhibition hall, the testing cloud platform named Casic-t.com created based on CASICloud, the national industrial Internet has aroused great interest of the press corps. According to Duan Dongbei, Director, Chief QA Engineer and Chief Process Engineer of the Science and Technology Committee of CASIC Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd., Casic-t.com is one of the first batch of industrial Internet testing cloud platforms of China and the first industrial Internet testing cloud platform of Hunan Province that relies on big data, intelligent testing and other technologies for guiding transformation and upgrading of the testing industry. Hu Xing, President of the Hunan Aerospace TianLu Advanced Material Testing Co., Ltd., focused on introduction of the needs of real-time testing and information-based management in such fields as testing of environmental protection and sampling inspection of food via Casic-t.com, and also introduced the quick environmental protection testing system and quick food testing system developed for satisfying such needs.

With these systems, routine test items can be finished in the first place on the environmental protection testing site and the food sampling and testing site with reports issued right there, offering more convenience, greatly improving work efficiency and providing reliable data and information for environment management and video safety management by relevant competent departments. The media reporters and journalists visited the quick testing system model car on site and sought answers from experts to questions about actual application of the testing system.

“Background contributor” to 5G life

In the exhibition hall of the Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute, many media friends took great interest in the manufacturing of a golden copper plate. “This copper plate, almost as thin as a paper, is the 5G high-frequency flexible copper clad laminate developed by Changsha Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute and used for receiving and transmitting signals of antenna plate.” As introduced by Zhou Chaohui, Assistant to the President of the Changsha Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute to the media outlets, this kind of material can be widely used in such fields as consumer electronics, wearable devices, smart home industry and intelligent vehicles to provide guarantee for transmission of massive data via 5G network and for realization of ultra-low latency.

“5G life is getting closer and closer to us. We are looking forward to that 5G products and relevant new materials will bring more and more changes to our life.” Media reporters and journalists on site all expressed their yearning for 5G life.

In the airship hanger of Hunan Aerospace Yuanwang Science & Technology Limited Company, a “huge white ball” attracted the attention of the press corps of central media outlets. After being introduced the YW-1 tethered aerostat and the auto control platform of small size, the press corps interviewed Peng Jiang, General Manager of the Hunan Aerospace Yuanwang Science& Technology Limited Company to learn more about lighter-than-air aircrafts. Upon being told that lighter-than-air aircrafts of the Company can be used as the “air space station” for 5G communication, the press corps all hoped that the lighter-than-air aircrafts can be used more on the market.

In this activity of “central media in Hunan Aerospace”, the press corps learned about hundreds of high-tech products including fiber-optic gyroscopes, printed electronics, high-strength aluminum alloy powder, high-performance special coatings and permanent magnetic ferrite, and was introduced in detail the establishment of the cloud marketing platform and the concept of business transformation to “Internet + intelligent environmental protection” of Hunan Aerospace. “While visiting the exhibition hall of the Advanced Materials Industrial Research Institute, we saw the banner of ‘extremely hard-working, extremely aggressive, extremely resourceful and extremely dedicated’ and were deeply inspired.” According to a reporter from the central media outlet who has fully participated in the activity, through his visit to Hunan Aerospace, the one and only secondary unit of CASIC in Hunan Province, he felt for real the changes brought about by aerospace technologies and hoped that more aerospace enterprises of China can bring their competitive technologies to where the market needs them to better serve the life of the people there.
