On May 9, CASIC held the 34th CASIC Lecture themed on sharing inspiring stories of “inspiring people of CASIC” of 2018.
The Lecture was attended by Xu Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leading Group of CASIC, Liu Chuandong, member of the Party Leading Group and Chief Accountant of CASIC, Lin Qing, Leader of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Group and member of the Party Leading Group and Gong Bo, member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC as well as leaders of all departments of the Headquarters, leaders of some authorities of Beijing and winners (individuals and collective representatives) of the title “Individual (Collective) Touching CASIC of 2018”. In addition, the Lecture was also attended by about 2,100 audiences via more than 30 video equipment in all of CASIC’s affiliates.
A total number of 10 individuals and collectives, selected through grassroots recommendation, voting by the masses and finalization by the Group, were granted the awards. Three individuals including Xie Tingyi of China Space Sanjiang Group Corporation (CSSG), Zhang Chonggeng of the Sixth Research Institute and Yang Lingyun of CASICloud, and seven collectives including “Aries” Research Team of China Aerospace Science & Industry Information Technology Academy, “Sword in the Desert” Team of the Second Research Institute, Research Team for “Superpowered Engine” of the Third Research Institute, Team “Sticking on Taihang Mountains” of China Aerospace Construction Co., Ltd., Team Pioneer in Intelligent Manufacturing of Guizhou Space Appliance Co., Ltd., Self-service Clearance Project Team of Aisino Corporation and “Cloud Testing” Entrepreneurship Team of Hunan Aerospace Co., Ltd. were respectively awarded the titles of “Individual Touching CASIC” and “Collective Touching CASIC” of 2018.
The inspiring stories of the above award winners (individuals and collectives) were broadcast on TV at the Lecture and representatives of collectives and individuals were invited onto stage to share their exemplary deeds. Leaders of the Party Leading Group at the Lecture presented awards to winners.
Through building and publicity of typical individuals and collectives at the front line, the Lecture aims to guide staff and masses to carry forward the space culture, unleash innovation vitality, gather strength from role models and promote realization of the space dream, “strong army” dream and the Chinese dream.
