On May 16, CASIC held a conference for youngsters to learn and implement important guiding principles from the speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping to mark the centenary of the May Fourth Movement, and to encourage the youngsters in the aerospace field to shoulder their responsibilities in the new era and be a striver, trailblazer and dedicator that keep ahead of the times and contribute their strength for the development of the space cause and CASIC.
The conference was attended by Xu Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leading Group of CASIC, leaders of relevant departments of the headquarters, Deputy Secretaries of Party Committees and Secretaries of CYL Committees of secondary units, and representatives of youth party members. On the conference, 9 youth representatives of the grassroots level made keynote speeches.
Xu Qiang put forward four requirements concerning youth work: First, master the core of the guiding principles from the speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping, carry forward the spirit of patriotism in the May Fourth Movement and stick to “four confidences (confidence in our chosen path, our political system, our guiding principles and our culture)”; second, the youth in the new era should according to the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping strive to be the builders and successors of the space power; third, Party committees of all levels should implement the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping and carry out youth work with full political passion; fourth, CYLs of all levels should actively respond to the call of General Secretary Xi Jinping and organize all youth members of CYLs to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
