The 2019 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held in Beijing from May 28 to June 1. Liu Shiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leading Group and General Manager of CASIC, attended the opening ceremony and relevant leaders of CASIC attended forums of the CIFTIS.
During the fair, the 2019 China Intelligent Industry Forum themed on “‘intelligence plus’ leading the future” was held. It focused on innovation-driven development in such fields as artificial intelligence, information technology, intelligent driving and intelligent manufacturing. On the forum, CASIC gave a report on Injecting New Impetus for High-quality Economic Development of China by Adapting to, Grasping and Leading “Intelligence Plus”.
According to the report, CASIC has been implementing important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on artificial intelligence development; adapting to and mastering development characteristics in the era of intelligent economy; actively expanding “intelligence plus” by upholding the principles of “information exchange, resource sharing, coordinated efforts, opening up and cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win progress” to strive to be the backbone and leader of central enterprises during the course of artificial intelligence development and building of China into a country of innovators.
According to the report, CASIC has been actively adapting to, addressing and leading “intelligence plus” and vigorously promoting in-depth integrated development of artificial intelligence and the real economy, and has made phased achievements. CASIC aided by “intelligence” and “cloud” is serving the development of smart economy with core architecture of its new-generation network information system; serving the construction of smart society with advanced smart industry (realizing “governance” through “intelligence”); serving the high-quality development of manufacturing industry with industrial Internet with Chinese characteristics (improving “quality” through “intelligence”);
