On June 24, CASIC held the 2019 Special Lecture on Safety Development, aiming at thoroughly studying and implementing important instructions and directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping on work safety, focusing on preventing and dissolving major safety risks, and putting into practice CASIC's plans for the 2019 "Work Safety Month" Campaign.
Shan Chunchang, Deputy Director of the Expert Commission of National Committee for Disaster Reduction and Leader of the Emergency Management Expert Group of the State Council, was specially invited to give a special lecture on safety development. The lecture was attended by more than 2,100 audiences on site and by video, including Gao Hongwei, Secretary of the Party Leading Group and President of CASIC, Liu Shiquan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leading Group, Gong Bo, Member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager, as well as Work Safety Director, department heads from the headquarters, and relevant heads of all secondary units and affiliates.
In the lecture, Shan Chunchang gave positive affirmation to the work safety of CASIC, and in combination with typical cases, elaborated in detail the connotations, requirements and measures of "preventing and dissolving major risks and enhancing crisis management ability" in terms of development trend of emergency management in the new period, preparation for unexpected development and mastery of the characteristics of emergencies.
According to relevant information, in the "Work Safety Month", CASIC successfully carried out a series of publicity and education activities (including safety development forum, and safety warning education, popularization and publicity) with the theme of "risk prevention, potential hazard elimination and accident prevention" in combination with CASIC's realities, receiving extensive attention and positive opinions, and effectively creating a good atmosphere of work safety.
On June 24, CASIC held the Final of the 2019 Work Safety Debate Contest, with 16 youngsters in aerospace competing around the theme.
The following people participated in the activity: Shan Chunchang, Deputy Director of the Expert Commission of National Committee for Disaster Reduction and Leader of the Emergency Management Expert Group of the State Council, Gong Bo, Member of the Party Leading Group and Deputy General Manager, leaders and experts from the National "Work Safety Month" Organizing Committee Office, the Ministry of Emergency Management and other organizations, leaders of relevant departments of the headquarters, and heads of all secondary units in charge of work safety.
The debate contest is one of CASIC's series of activities in the 2019 "Work Safety Month" and "Work Safety Circuit". Through selection and recommendation of all units and fierce competition in the 3 rounds of preliminaries held by CASIC, 4 stood out of 22 representative teams and reached the final.
Through hot argument between both parties of the debate, the first prize was awarded to team 1 of the Third Academy and the representative team of China Volant Industry Co., Ltd., the second prize to the following teams: Guizhou Space Appliance Co., Ltd., team 1 of Aerospace Medical Health Science & Technology Company, China Aerospace System Engineering Co., Ltd., and team 1 of China Aerospace Construction Co., Ltd., and the third prize to the following teams: team 2 of the Second Academy, team 2 of the Third Academy, team 2 of China Aerospace Construction Co., Ltd., Aerospace Industrial Technology Research Institute and Aerosun Corporation.
