To consolidate the gains made in the fight against poverty and to win the fight against poverty, CASIC held a promotion event for poverty alleviation through consumption in the targeted county (Fuyuan County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province) and district (Dongchuan District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province) in Beijing on August 20.
At the event, leaders and cadres of labor unions from the Group Headquarters and its other subordinate units in Beijing were given a description on the basic situation of the targeted county and district as well as products of relevant enterprises, and tasted the featured products from the plateau of Yunnan Province. At the event, CASIC signed a contract with the targeted county and district for purchasing special agricultural products worth RMB 1.4 million recently, along with an intention agreement for poverty relief through consumption totaling RMB 5.2 million for 2020.
Subsequently, CASIC will promote efforts in poverty alleviation through consumption by further utilizing its system advantages such as the cloud marketing platform; the subordinate units in Beijing will implement decisions and plans of CASIC to well control quality and safety of special agricultural products. The promotion event for poverty alleviation through consumption held this time will further encourage poverty-stricken households to shake off poverty and become better off, and will add to CASIC’s efforts in successfully accomplishing the task of poverty alleviation.
