On June 23, CASIC held a video conference on epidemic prevention and control for its affiliated organizations in Beijing to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and directives and the guiding principles from his important speeches, as well as the decisions of the Party Central Committee. At the conference, according to current epidemic situation in Beijing and the specific situation of CASIC, arrangements were made for the epidemic prevention and control of these organizations in Beijing and for the work of CASIC's research and production center.
Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, and Liu Shiquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager, attended the conference and delivered speeches. The conference was chaired by Gong Bo, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC. Heads of all departments (organizations) of CASIC, and leaders and relevant personnel from all second-level organizations participated in the video conference.
Yuan Jie pointed out that as the epidemic situation in Beijing became severe and complicated in recent days, the Party Leadership Group of CASIC attached great importance and quickly took a series of measures to strengthen epidemic prevention and control, to ensure that the research and production work could go on normally.
To do a good job in follow-up epidemic prevention and control, and scientific research and production, Yuan proposed 4 specific requirements:
First, we should enhance our political position, implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions and directives and the guiding principles from his important speeches, and put people's safety and health in the first place. Meanwhile, we should deeply understand the importance of epidemic prevention and control in Beijing, perform our primary responsibility, and take concrete actions to contribute to winning the battle of epidemic prevention and control in Beijing.
Second, we should put in place all prevention and control measures according to CASIC's epidemic prevention and control plans, reduce movement and gathering, do a good job in grid management level by level, carry out nucleic acid testing on personnel in key departments (such as property department, service department and canteen), detail all measures and put them into practice.
Third, we should strengthen organizational leadership. In particular, main leaders should go into the frontline to organize the epidemic prevention and control in a scientific and effective manner through overall planning and targeted implementation of measures. We should also give full play to the role of grass-roots party organizations as militant bastions and the exemplary role of party members, and take the epidemic prevention and control as our top priority.
Fourth, we should properly push forward research and production while ensuring regular epidemic prevention and control, and make efforts to win both the battle of epidemic prevention and control and the critical battle of accomplishing annual research and production tasks. We should particularly strengthen the epidemic prevention and control for key posts in the front line of research and production and test ranges, adopt flexible working modes (like "cloud office") to guarantee the research and production, implement the requirements of the Party Central Committee for coordinating the two goals of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and minimize the impact of the epidemic according to the annual plan and arrangement made by the Party Leadership Group of CASIC to ensure the completion of annual objectives. In face of regular epidemic prevention and control, we should take the epidemic prevention and control and the research and production seriously and also with normal attitude, do a good job in all aspects in strict accordance with various requirements, and proceed with confidence to win both the battles.
Liu Shiquan pointed out that the epidemic prevention and control is a "big test" for CASIC and may last for a long time. All organizations of CASIC should ensure full mobilization, comprehensive planning, and all-around strengthening of the prevention and control efforts. All organizations should obey unified leadership and coordination, implement the relevant measures and requirements of CASIC, strengthen management of people and items, and take prevention and control measures for any potential environmental hazards. The Party committees and leadership teams at all levels should be determined to complete various research and production tasks while focusing energy on the epidemic prevention and control.

At the conference, a report on the situation and specific measures in epidemic prevention and control of CASIC was delivered. Meanwhile, organizations in Beijing, such as China Aerospace Science & Industry Information Technology Academy, Second Academy, Third Academy and Aisino, introduced their progress in epidemic prevention and control.
