On September 4th, the 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), co-sponsored by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, was successfully opened in Beijing.
Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of CPC Central Committee, delivered a speech at the Global Trade in Services Summit, stressing that all countries should work together to foster an open and inclusive environment for cooperation, unleash the power of innovation in driving cooperation forward and promote mutually beneficial cooperation. He also mentioned that China will remain steadfast in opening up wider to the world, further ease market access for the services sector, develop new business forms and models in services trade, support the establishment of a global alliance for trade in services, support the municipality in developing a national integrated demonstration zone for greater openness in the services sector, and open up new horizons for reform and opening-up at a higher level.
Liu Shiquan, the General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of CASIC, was invited to attend the Global Trade in Services Summit. The audience was treated to a video message from President Xi Jinping, as well as video messages from a number of foreign dignitaries and heads of international organizations, including Fernandez, the President of Argentina, Prayut, Prime Minister of Thailand, Tedros, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, and Yi Xiaozhun, the Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
As the world's first comprehensive exhibition in the field of trade in services, the CIFTIS is an important window for China's service industry to open up to the outside world. As an international exhibition focusing on trade in services, the CIFTIS, together with China International Import Expo (CIIE) and China Import and Export Fair, has constituted three major exhibition platforms for China's opening up to the outside world, and formed an all-round open and cooperative promotion system for the comprehensive development of manufacturing and services, and for import and export in the new era.
The CIFTIS was themed "Global Service, Reciprocal Sharing". During the CIFTIS, CASIC brought nearly 20 comprehensive service solutions in four sections (intelligent manufacturing service based on industrial Internet, intelligent operation and maintenance service of industrial products based on big data application, digital information service and management service based on IoT) to the cloud exhibition hall, highlighting the strong technical strength of CASIC and the cooperation concept of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation. CASIC will continue to strengthen technological innovation, actively expand enabling services for various application scenarios such as industrial manufacturing, further intensify open cooperation, and join hands with global partners to create a better tomorrow.
