On November 13, Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, and Liu Shiquan, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, met with Lou Yangsheng, Secretary of CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, and Lin Wu, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and Governor of Shanxi Province, in Taiyuan. They had a discussion on strengthening cooperation in ultrahigh-speed maglev industry, information technology application innovation industry and smart industry, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Liu Chuandong, member of the Party Leadership Group and Chief Accountant of CASIC, Gong Bo, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC, Zhang Jifu, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and Secretary of Datong Municipal Party Committee, and Wang Yixin, Vice Governor of Shanxi Province, attended the meeting.
Yuan Jie introduced the overall situation of CASIC's strategic objectives and main business segments, and said that it is of great significance to discuss cooperation and seek for common development with Shanxi Province on the occasion of holding high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, fully promoting the successful conclusion of the "13th Five-Year Plan" and pooling wisdom to devise the "14th Five-Year Plan" throughout the nation. In recent years, CASIC has maintained close cooperation with Shanxi Province, hoping to focus on strategic emerging industries, give full play to its strength and technological advantages in information technology, high-end equipment, environmental governance and municipal construction, explore and promote pragmatic cooperation around the ultra-high-speed maglev industry, and contribute to the development of Shanxi Province in water conservancy infrastructure, ecological and environmental governance and municipal construction with high-quality products and services. It is believed that CASIC and Shanxi Province will take this strategic cooperation as a new opportunity, and make full use of the important period of strategic opportunity for China's development to open a new chapter for high-quality win-win cooperation.
Lou Yangsheng said that the whole province is thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and it is of great significance to further deepen cooperation between CASIC and Shanxi Province under the guiding principles. The brilliant achievements in the aerospace industry have greatly boosted the morale of the nation, and CASIC's achievements in recent years create a proud history. Shanxi Province is a traditional resource-based economic region and is currently in an important period of strategic opportunity for transformation. It is hoped that CASIC and Shanxi Province will carry out all-round cooperation driven by specific projects, jointly promote the implementation of a batch of major innovation projects such as ultra-high-speed maglev project in Shanxi, and jointly embark on a path leading to innovative development.
