The 11th China Satellite Navigation Conference was held from November 23 to 25 in Chengdu. With the theme of "Satellite Navigation — a New Era for the World", this conference focused on the new situation, new characteristics and new requirements that the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is facing in the new era of global services. More than 3,000 delegates attended this conference.
The China Satellite Navigation Expo was held at the same time, fully displaying the achievements in the BDS construction and application. As the support organization of this conference, CASIC organized its 10 subordinate organizations led by China Aerospace Science & Industry Information Technology Academy to participate in the Expo as a whole. With the theme of "Beidou + Integrated Application", CASIC displayed 15 featured products and system application schemes in 5 major fields including "Beidou + High Precision", "Beidou + Transportation", " Beidou + Time", "Beidou + Remote Sensing" and "Beidou + Test" over the past year. During the three-day exhibition, CASIC's booth attracted more than 1,000 representatives including experts and scholars from scientific research institutions, industry chain partners and industry users.
During the exhibition, Wang Zhaoyao, Chairman of China Satellite Navigation Committee, Yang Changfeng, Chief Designer of the Beidou Satellite Navigation System, Cai Lanbo, Executive Chairman of Scientific Committee of China Satellite Navigation Conference, Xia Guohong, senior leader of CASIC, and leaders of the People's Government of Sichuan Province and Chengdu Municipal People's Government visited CASIC's booth and exchanged views with each other. They spoke highly of the achievements made by CASIC in the field of "Beidou + Integrated Application", and encouraged CASIC to continue to "work hard and make achievements" in promoting the industrialization of BDS.
At the China Satellite Navigation Conference and the Expo, relevant organizations of CASIC got close contact with the top experts, scholars and industry talents from the industry authorities and the domestic satellite navigation field, knew about the development trend of global satellite navigation technology and the development trend of the industry, and expanded the brand image and industry influence of CASIC in the field of spatial information application. As the backbone for the development of the aerospace industry, CASIC will continue to take technological innovation, management innovation and business model innovation as drivers to promote large-scale application and industrialization of BDS.
