On November 26, the 2020 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference kicked off in Nanjing. With the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing Leads High Quality Development", this conference brought together the world's leading enterprises, authorities, outstanding leaders and leading experts in the field of intelligent manufacturing to discuss the development status and hotspots of intelligent manufacturing, display the technologies, products and solutions of the most representative enterprises in the field of global intelligent manufacturing on the cloud, and release the latest development achievements of intelligent manufacturing demonstration enterprises at home and abroad. This conference was co-sponsored by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Engineering and China Association for Science and Technology.
Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
Yuan pointed out that the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee clearly proposed that "China will speed up the development of modern industrial system and push economic optimization and upgrade. China will continue to take the real economy as the focus of its economic development, unswervingly build itself into a manufacturer of quality and enhance its strength in cyberspace and digital technology, and promote the upgrading of the industrial base and the modernization of the industrial chain". At the same time, the Session also proposed that "China will build a systematic and complete, highly efficient and practical, intelligent and green, and safe and reliable modern infrastructure system. China will speed up new infrastructure construction in the fields like 5G, industrial internet, and big data center". As an important part of new infrastructure construction, the industrial Internet will bring new development opportunities for new-generation information technology cluster breakthrough, collaborative innovation and deep integration with the manufacturing industry. Expanding domestic demand and improving the safety of industry chain are pivots for the new development pattern put forward by the CPC Central Committee. Industrial Internet, supply chain and digitalization are the key to serve the new development pattern.
Yuan shared the innovation practice of CASIC in his speech, and pointed out that CASIC has actively implemented the national strategy. Relying on the complete aerospace industry system and the development advantages of the new-generation information technology, CASIC has created a national-level cross-industry and cross-discipline industrial Internet platform featuring cloud manufacturing—CASICloud platform INDICS, and built 22 provincial and municipal industrial Internet platforms, and 13 industry cloud and park cloud platforms, to serve the whole society with intelligent manufacturing, collaborative manufacturing and cloud manufacturing services. CASIC has built an internal collaborative sharing platform for manufacturing, strongly supporting the internal and external collaborative supporting business and the online development of product life cycle business. CASIC has systematically promoted intelligent manufacturing, and developed the capacity of multi-variety, multi-specification and scalable-batch digital mixed batch production on the same product line through active exploration and practice, playing a pilot demonstration role in the implementation of intelligent manufacturing. At the same time, CASIC has strengthened international exchanges and cooperation, and deeply implemented the "Belt and Road" Initiative. With the CASICloud international platform, CASIC has provided support for users along the Belt and Road to carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, cross-border enterprise services and international talent exchange, to achieve coordinated development.
Yuan deeply analyzed the development trend of the industrial Internet, and pointed out that the global industrial Internet is now in the critical period of forming a new industrial pattern and the window period of large-scale expansion. The digital transformation has shifted to the strategy-led type from the technology- and business-led type, and has been empowered by the industrial Internet to enter a new stage of "upgrading, speeding up and high-quality development". Technically, the integration of the industrial Internet with 5G, digital twin, blockchain and artificial intelligence has promoted the upgrading of the industrial Internet to "smart industrial Internet". In application, the continuous development of the industrial Internet has speeded up not only the implementation of such application scenarios as intelligent production, networked collaboration, personalized customization and service extension, but also the digital transformation of enterprises. In industry, the industrial Internet has become more and more valuable in empowering other industries, continuously expanded its service scope, and entered a new stage of leading the high-quality development of both the industry and the digital economy.
Yuan said that in the new stage of development, CASIC will fully implement the new development concept, accelerate the implementation of the digital aerospace strategy, comprehensively restructure the digital value system, reconstruct the digital organization and operation system, reshape the digital culture and ecological system, and create a new-generation digital, networked, intelligent and cloud-based aerospace industry system, to support the strategic goal of building a world-leading aerospace and defense group company. CASIC will do the following: Further exert the value of the industrial Internet platform, bring together high-quality resources in the industry, lead collaborative innovation, accelerate the cultivation of new models and new forms, and enhance the ability of the industry chain; further mine platform data assets and nourish the real economy with data resources; further strengthen and deepen cooperation with local governments in the field of industrial Internet, and push forward the construction of ecosystem of cloud manufacturing industrial clusters; further meet users' needs to provide independent, safe and controllable infrastructure for more enterprises to catch up with the fast development of the industrial Internet; further give full play to the comparative advantages of integration of large system engineering and information governance capabilities, to make new and greater contributions to promoting the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance. CASIC is willing to work with all sectors of society to continuously explore and improve the digital, networked, intelligent and cloud-based industrial Internet platform, and contribute to building China into a manufacturer of quality and enhancing China's strength in cyberspace and digital technology.
"China's Top 10 Scientific and Technological Advances in Intelligent Manufacturing" were released at this conference. As CASIC's typical, demonstrative and propagable achievements, 2 projects were included in the list: "Intelligent Manufacturing of Aerospace Electrical and Electronic Components" and "Multi-variety and Scalable Batch Digital Flexible Production Line of Complex Aerospace Components" developed by Beijing Power Machinery Institute.
