On December 8, the 2020 China Brand Forum sponsored by People's Daily was held in Beijing. More than 300 representatives from government departments, enterprises and research institutions gathered together to have in-depth dialogues and exchanges with the theme of "Confidence of China & Power of Brand". Yuan Jie, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of CASIC, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

To support the transformation from "Made in China" to "Created in China", it is necessary to create a brand core that can stand all tests. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee has made important deployments in accelerating the push for self-reliance in science and technology. Independent innovation is the genetic code of China's space industry, and also the basic core of brand cultivation. Facing the overarching strategy to rejuvenate the Chinese nation and the great changes unseen in a century, CASIC have continuously stepped up independent and original innovation in science and technology, accelerated the development of strategic, cutting-edge and disruptive technologies, and created a number of independent brands with core intellectual property rights. Practice shows that only by adhering to innovation and pushing for self-reliance in science and technology can we create competitive products, shape strong brands and seize the commanding heights and initiative in international competition.
To support the transformation from "China speed" to "China quality", it is necessary to build a "trustworthy" brand cornerstone with high quality. Quality is the life of aerospace products, and also the existence value and development cornerstone of aerospace brand. It is put forward at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee that China should improve the national quality infrastructure and take actions for improvement of quality. CASIC has always adhered to the quality-based winning strategy, emphasized "quality first", enhanced the "zero defect" quality consciousness of all employees, firmly established the concept that "quality is politics, life and benefit", vigorously promoted and encouraged the entrepreneurial spirit, the spirit of Chinese scientists, the spirit of model workers, the value of work, and the pursuit of fine workmanship, shaped a gold brand in the space industry, and contributed to building China into a great power of quality. Practice shows that only by comprehensively improving product quality and pursuing excellent quality can we establish a trustworthy and recognized Chinese brand.
To support the transformation from "Chinese products" to "Chinese brands", it is necessary to shape a "well-known" brand image with culture. Culture is the intellectual impetus for the prosperity of China's space industry, and also the lifeblood and soul of an enterprise brand. More than 60 years of magnificent struggle of China's space industry have bred profound spirit and culture of aerospace, and endowed Chinese aerospace brands with rich connotations. CASIC has always inherited and carried forward the "three spirits" of aerospace (i.e. traditional spirit of aerospace, spirit of "Two Bombs and One Satellite" and spirit of China's Manned Space Program), concentrated efforts on spreading the core value of the brand, and cultivated the brand culture with aerospace characteristics. Practice shows that only by strengthening confidence in culture and building soft power of Chinese culture that is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people can we enhance the high added value of the brand and effectively improve its popularity and reputation.
