On December 17, CASIC held a symposium with the aim to fully implement the national development strategy and the strategic plan of the Party Leadership Group of CASIC, give full play to the basic and supporting role of 5G/6G technology in equipment development, and strengthen CASIC's systematic and forward-looking planning for the defense equipment industry and the information technology industry in the new era.
Chen Guoying, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of CASIC, attended and presided over the symposium. At the symposium, Zhang Ping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, gave an academic report on "5G, New Infrastructure and Others".
Wei Yiyin pointed out that CASIC is fully implementing the guiding principles of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, studying and implementing the innovation-driven development strategy. He hoped that all organizations would fully understand the importance and urgency of promoting the application of 5G/6G technology, seize the development opportunity, give full play to the dominant role of enterprise innovation, promote the coordinated efforts of enterprises, universities, research institutes and consumers, take the lead in mastering advanced technologies, enhance core competitiveness by leaps and bounds, and make greater contributions to building a world-class aerospace defense corporation.
