Beijing is about 1,152 km away from Wuhan. At present, it takes over 5 hours for traveling from Beijing to Wuhan by taking high-speed trains. However, can you imagine it will only take 30 minutes for traveling from Beijing to Wuhan in the near future? One is able to take train on the morning of the day to attend the conference in the morning. As the next-generation transportation system, the T-Flight is fermenting a technological revolution that changes the way of life for all human beings.

Speed changes the life

The advent of a new era is often accompanied by tremendous changes in the means of transport! The T-Flight project of CASIC may open a new era.

The running speed of the T-Flight is 10 times of that of the traditional high-speed train, and 5 times of that of the existing civil aircraft. The maximum speed can reach 4,000km/h. The T-Flight is a great progress in the course of pursuit of the ultimate in respect of the speed of the means of transport.

The T-Flight is a transport system featuring with reducing air resistance by the low-vacuum environment and supersonic profile and reducing frictional resistance by magnetic levitation for supersonic running.

The T-Flight can bridge the space-time distance between cities, and will not be affected by weather conditions, does not consume fossil energy and can be seamlessly connected to urban metros. Therefore, it is the development trend and technological high ground in the future transportation field.

Once this vision is realized, it will change the trip modes of humans, greatly renew the economic landscape of China or the world, accelerate the allocation of domestic resources, facilitate the establishment of one-hour economic circle for super urban clusters, contribute to going abroad to effectively support the national development strategy under the “Belt and Road Initiative”, promote the world economy into the “high-speed track” and incorporate “speed changing life” into all aspects of social economy and life.

Manufacturing “T-Flight” of aerospace quality

At present, there are three major companies in the world that have announced they have carried out studies on transportation systems at over 1,000 km/h, including HTT, Hyperloop One and CASIC. American companies start earlier than Chinese enterprises, but the latter has a high starting point. With the supersonic aerospace technologies, CASIC is the first one in the world that proposes the supersonic ground transportation system.

CASIC has rich practice experience and technology accumulation in system engineering for major projects and has necessary capabilities in simulation modeling and large system testing for large projects, as well as capabilities in design of world-class supersonic aircrafts, laying an important foundation for the construction of the T-Flight project. The implementation of the Project focuses on taking various advantages to establish a national team. Therefore, CASIC, together with more than 20 research institutes at home and abroad, established the first international T-Flight industry alliance in China. At present, the team has more than 200 patents in related fields.

Implementation in three steps based on the innovation mode

The T-Flight will lead the global development trend from an international perspective.

In terms of the technical innovation, the most promising technology route will be selected to achieve the safety, feasibility and economical efficiency of the system through key technological breakthroughs. In terms of the business mode, the mode of “application in the process of R&D” will be adopted so as to realize self-sufficiency through turning key technologies into products. In terms of the management mode, CASIC will continue to establish an “International Brigades” together with teams with advantages at home and abroad so as to ensure the advanced nature of R&D teams.

The implementation of the Project will be carried out gradually in three steps in accordance with the maximum running speeds, i.e., 1,000 km/h, 2000 km/h, or 4000 km/h. The first step aims to build a regional inter-city T-Flight transportation network with the transportation capacity of 1,000 km/h. The second step aims to build a national T-Flight transportation network for super urban clusters with the transportation capacity of 2,000 km/h. The third step aims to build a T-Flight transportation network in areas along the Belt and Road with the transportation capacity of 4,000 km/h, to finally establish a new name card of China following the aerospace, high-speed train and nuclear power.
