On September 5, Li Yue, the General Manager of CASIC, met with the delegations led by Mr. Julius Korir, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kenya, to discuss the cooperation in fields such as infrastructure construction and construction of smart city.
They visited the exhibition hall for products for civilian use and watched the advertising video of CASIC to comprehensively understand the development achievements of CASIC in equipment manufacturing, information technology and other fields.
Mr. Julius Korir expressed his admiration on these achievements. He pointed out that Kenya has prepared the “2030 Prospect Plan” and will make efforts to achieve “Four Major Development Goals”, namely to improve the level of manufacturing industry, enhance food security, implement national medical policies and strengthen housing security. The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kenya hopes to deepen the cooperation with CASIC in areas such as infrastructure construction to promote co-prosperity of China and Africa.
Li Yue welcomed the delegations led by Mr. Julius Korir and pointed out that CASIC will firmly implement the Central Spirit, actively accelerate the strategic cooperation between China and Kenya, expand the cooperation field and enhance cultural, educational and regional exchanges to help Kenya to achieve the “2030 Prospect Plan” and “Four Major Development Goals” as soon as possible.
It is reported that China Aerospace Construction Group (Kenya) Co., Ltd. has cooperated with local institutes in Kenya on several traffic construction projects. It will further expand its business and deepen the cooperation subsequently.
